12 women pastry chefs from around the world will compete for the title of Pastry Queen 2018

Ana RodríguezOn 22 and 23 of January 2018, the fourth edition of Pastry Queen, the competition aimed at women pastry chefs from around the world who want to share their talent and give their careers a new impulse, will be held in Sigep (Rimini).
12 candidates from Brazil, Colombia, Croatia, the Philippines, France, Japan, India, Morocco, Mexico, Russia, Thailand, and the USA will compete for the title. A figure of participation increases each year, evidence of the strength this biennial championship is achieving. The reason, according to Roberto Rinaldini (so good #4), president of the fair and main artificer of this competition, is that “it is the world’s only competition that gives visibility and opportunities to women, highlighting their professionalism.
This is why the contestants have risen from 10 to 12 and for years in France and India national selections have been held, and this year will be extended to the Philippines.”
The president of the jury and Pastry Queen 2016, the Italian Silvia Boldetti, wants to remind the applicants that the great value of this tournament is in preparation. “With the Pastry Queen I learned to bring out the potential that had remained unexpressed until then: great concentration, determination and firmness, investing a lot of energy. The real ingredient is preparation, along with determination and control of one’s emotions .”
The theme of this edition will be astrology and the prize for the winner: 5,000 euros and trophy.
