A new Italian competition dedicated to chocolate panettone

Ana RodríguezA new professional panettone competition, Miglior Panettone al Cioccolato, has been born in Italy. Promoted by Italian Gourmet, the championship will take place on November 18 within the framework of I Maestri del Panettone in Milan. There are two establsihed categories- traditional panettone and creative panettone – and the prizes are training courses in Molino Pasini and Valrhona respectively.
The jury will be composed of top Italian chefs including Luigi Biasetto, who will also be President, Andrea Besuschio, Gianluca Fusto, Fabrizio Galla (so good #5), Andrea Tortora and Attilio Servi. We know that Yann Duytsche is among the 15 finalists. The owner of the pastry shop Dolç, in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona), who learned how to make this Christmas sweet bread years ago from the master Rolando Morandin, won the first edition of the Best Artisan Panettone in Spain in 2016. Now he faces this competition along with 14 other international chefs.
