Ana RodríguezThe Maya Cup, initially scheduled for May 4, will be held on September 27 in Lima (Peru). This competition aimed at Latin American pastry chefs is just one of the continental qualifiers for the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, which will take place in 2021 in Lyon.
As we have already advanced, the Asian Pastry Cup, which takes place within FHA-HoReCa, has been postponed to July. For its part, the African Pastry Cup, scheduled for June 20 in Marrakech, has not yet announced a change in dates.
The countries that have a secure pass to the grand final are France, Japan, and Italy for being the top three nations in the history of the event, and the three countries ranked in the European Pastry Cup: Switzerland, Sweden, and Russia. In addition, the Coupe has awarded four wild cards to the United Kingdom, the USA, and two other countries pending confirmation.
