The second edition of the AUI Pastry Cup will be held from September 18 to 19, which will face off a total of 12 candidates over three qualifying rounds and will be held at the company’s headquarters near Washington DC. In fact there will be a preliminary qualifier, which will narrow the finalists down to 12 all entries received until the deadline, June 15. The name of the chosen ones will be announced from August 1.

With more than $10,000 in prizes and the brilliant balance of the first edition behind it, with the victory going to Vincent Attali, this competition faces a new call renewing the panel of judges, which this time will be consisting of Cher Harris (Hotel Hershey), Scott Green (Devil’s Food Kitchen), Ewald Notter, and Orlando Santos (MGM Grand Detroit).

The originality of this competition lies in the design of three eliminatory rounds scattered over two days. Only in the first round there will be 12 finalists, who will have to prepare a Pre-Dessert. The top six will move to the second round, where they will present a plated dessert. And the top three players will go to the last stage of the competition to make an entremet and a bonbon.
