Twelve countries will compete in The iba.UIBC Cup of Bakers

Ana RodríguezVisitors to the Iba fair, which will be held from October 22 to 26 in Munich, will be able to follow The iba.UIBC Cup of Bakers live, a demanding competition that will pit bakers from 12 countries against each other.
In teams of two, participants will have to make bread, small bakery items, celebratory items, Danish pastries, and an edible art piece around the theme of ‘The Animal World’. The awards ceremony will take place on October 24 at iba.FORUM.
“We look forward to seeing the world’s best bakers compete live for The Iba.UIBC.CUP of Bakers 2023 after a five-year hiatus. It’s a real challenge to work under time pressure in front of a live audience and it’s nothing like being in your own bakery. It will certainly be exciting”, says the president of the jury, Wolfgang Schäfer.
These are the 12 countries and their candidates:
