USA team heading for Lyon

Alberto RuizAndy Chlebana, Christophe Feyt, Stephen Durfee and Roy Pell will make up the team representing the USA in the next edition of the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie (Lyon 2013). They all qualified in a test held in The Grand Rapids Community College, and were chosen out of a group of eight finalists.
The jury, presided by Ewald Notter, world champion in Lyon in 2001 with the American team, evaluated the technical, artistic and taste aspects, although he also took into account other factors such as the managing of time, the enthusiasm, the creativity and the assumption of controlled risks.
Chef Gilles Renusson, chairman of the Club Coupe du Monde in the USA, acknowledged the effort and sacrifice of all the contestants and valued the level of the presented works very positively.
