Alberto RuizThis past 2nd March was a very special date: the 25th anniversary of the US Pastry Championship at Jacob Javits in New York, part of the International Restaurant and Food service Show. Finally, it was the pastry chef from the Ritz Carlton in Orlando, Yoshikazu Kizu, who came in first ahead of the other 9 participants. The artistic piece of this Japanese-born chef, created on a base of sugar and chocolate, contained different motifs inspired by the world of animated cinema, which was the theme for this year’s competition.
