Big brands and a great atmosphere at the chocolate exhibition in Brussels

Jaume CotThis past 7th and 9th of February saw the celebration in Brussels of the first “Salon du Chocolat”, related to the Parisian flagship event of the same name. It is a well-known model, which attempts to bring together producers, chocolatiers and consumers to a party which venerates chocolate in all its forms. As it took place in the Belgian capital, it was impossible to miss some of the biggest names in chocolate from this country, whose international reputation is beyond question. Enterprises such as Neuhaus, Guy Lian, Leonidas and Bellanger made the most of their participation by running workshops and live demonstrations for some of their flagship products. Of course, the event provided us with very intense and dramatic moments, such as the performance of the artist Alexandre Dubosc, plus lectures, tastings and the popular fashion parades with designs created by the best chocolatiers in the country ( Jean-Philippe Darcis, Jean-Luc Decluzeau de Leonidas, Ducobu, François Deremiens, Jean-Charles Rochoux, Max Vauche and Rob Roelandts among others).
