On May 13, l’Elysée hosted the award ceremony for the 26th Concours “Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France”. The president of France, Emmanuel Macron, received the 197 new MOFs.

The qualifying rounds of this exciting edition, of which you can learn more details in so good #21, were held from May to December 2017. Of the 2,835 registered candidates, 1,195 participated in the final rounds in 2018.

In the pastry section, 15 professionals demonstrated an outstanding level in the final, held at the spectacular Chateau de la École Ferrières on the outskirts of Paris. After exhibiting their skills in different tests around the theme “Yesterday, today, and tomorrow”, five got the MOF title: Sébastien Trudelle, Jonathan Mougel, Jean-Christophe Jeanson, Patrice Ibarboure and David Briand.
