Omnivore Festival, showroom of haute pâtisserie

Fernando TodaThe French town of Deauville held the sixth edition of the ‘Omnivore Food Festival’ from 20th to 22nd February, a gastronomic congress which not only gathered some of the most important cooks but also gave strong support to haute pâtisserie. In fact, this year’s list of participants has been exceptional: Carles Mampel, Oriol Balaguer, Frédéric Bau, Thierry Marx, Dominique Ansel, Sébastien Serveau, Patrick Roger, Jean Paul Hevin, Rocío Sánchez, Jacques Genin, James Petrie, Christophe Michalak, Tom Van Loock, Vincent Guerlais and Jérôme Chaucesse. They all brought up their own view of pastry from their different recipes, making Deauville become a great sweet showroom, with all sorts of new trends, all of them attractive for the future.
