Panama will host the First International Pastry Forum in August

Jaume CotFor five days, from 24 to 28 August, the Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Panama City will host the first edition of the International Pastry Forum. This unique initiative brings together five upscale pastry chefs in an educational modality that combines workshops in small groups with master classes. The formula allows a privileged experience of the creative process and knowledge of each of the programmed master pastry chefs.
Each day will feature one of the chefs: Javier Guillén will exhibit his “Design Patisserie”; Carles Mampel will display his creative line on the concept of “sweet tapas”; Antonio Bachour will focus on his signature desserts; Oriol Balaguer will go through his latest work, Obsession; and Xavier Barriga will bring his universe of the most current doughs in bakery.
The framework for these sessions will be divided into two parts. First, work will take place hand in hand with the chef for 4 hours in the morning, preparing a wide range of creations with a small group of learners, no more than 10. In the afternoon, and over 4 more hours, everything created during the morning will be presented in a wider auditorium, under a formula of lectures in which each concept and creation will be generously explained.
As sponsors, Dulcypas (patisserie magazine in Spanish from the publishers of So Good ..) will actively participate in the Pastry Forum and in Panama Gastronomica, where it will be possible to consult and acquire a good repertoire of our publications and books.
