The 12th edition of Ibatech, held recently in Istanbul, welcomed 81,278 visitors from Bulgaria, Saudi Arabia, Macedonia, Germany… from up to 115 countries, the highest number in the history of the show, which is a benchmark for the Eurasian bakery and confectionary industry.

Although the majority of attendees (40%) were pastry chefs, this edition registered an increase in the bakery sector public (29%). Additionally, at a general level the visitors were very pleased with their experience at the fair. According to data from the organization, 95% want to return to Ibatech in 2020, 97% intend to recommend the event to colleagues and 90% believe that the fair will become even more important in the future. Satisfaction among visitors, but also among the 341 companies from 11 countries that exhibited more than 500 brands at the Istanbul Fair Center CNR Expo.

Apart from the exhibition of products and technologies, Ibatech also introduced Turkish cuisine around the world by organizing events and competitions, such as the first final of the “Taşpakon Turkey Cup”, Turkey’s only cooking and pastry competition.
