Ana RodríguezSigep 2023, which was held from January 21 to 25 in Rimini, brought together more than 1,000 brands in 28 pavilions, covering 130,000 m2 of exhibition space, to visitors from 155 countries (77% from Europe, 12% from Asia and the Middle East, 7% from the Americas and 4% from Africa) and 450 top buyers from 78 countries. With these figures, the Fair returns to the figures of 2020 and makes it clear that the pandemic is only a memory.
Beyond the numerical data, the Fair was a success due to the satisfaction generated by both visitors and exhibitors. In addition, the Vision Plaza space for macro trends sold out all the tickets for talks, workshops, and training meetings.
At the competition level, Sigep was the setting for the Bread in the City international bakery championship, which gave the victory to Spain, and The Pastry Queen, whose title went to the Italian chef Ilaria Castellaneta.
