The 37th edition of Sigep, which will be held from 23 to 27 January 2016 in Rimini (Italy), will host exciting events where pastry chefs from around the world will have to test their creativity and technique.

The third edition of the women’s championship, Pastry Queen, will be held on Saturday the 23^rd under the theme of the “Art of Dance” and where the candidates will demonstrate their skills in the preparation of modern cakes, sugar sculptures, mignon patisserie, among others.

On Monday 25, it will be the turn of the international contest, The Star of Chocolate, which invites chocolate masters to draw inspiration from jazz music to develop their creations. On Tuesday 26 will be the Italian Senior Pastry Championship for pastry chefs over the age of 23. And for the ice cream sector, the Coppa del Mondo della Gelateria is scheduled.

But Sigep is not only shows, entertainment and competitions, but also a salon concerned about educating new generations. Thus, in September (21 to 25) it will collaborate with Pastry Camp, an educational initiative by the chef Roberto Rinaldini and organized by the CAST Alimenti school. A good opportunity to learn about patisserie from figures like Leonardo Di Carlo, Davide Malizia and Francesco Boccia.
