34th Relais Desserts International Meetings

Ana RodríguezThe 34th Relais Desserts International Meetings were held from 26 to 29 April in an idyllic setting, the lovely Swiss city of Montreux. Hosting this event were the pastry chefs Damien and Lucien Moutarlier.
Frédéric Cassel, president of the Association, officially inaugurated the seminar and presented the new members. This is how the meetings went, where guests also visited and became familiar with how the Mourtarliers’ pastry shops function in Montreux, Chexbres, and Lusanne and were able to discover the culinary universe of another Relais member, Sebastien Brocard, who works in the Ain.
There was also time to enjoy the beautiful landscape, having an aperitif prepared by the students of the Montreux school on a terrace overlooking Lake Geneva, or night sailing on the lake on the historic boat, Belle Époque.
The main event, like every year, was the buffet at the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace, created by the Relais Desserts members. This edition was dedicated to the theme “Jazz music in Montreux”, as a nod to the history of the popular Montreux Jazz Festival, funded in 1967.
The following Meetings will be in spring 2016 in New York.
