Ana RodríguezOn August 12, the book “Recettes d’un pâtissier confiné” will go on sale, gathering all the recipes that Christophe Michalack shared on social media with his followers during the lockdown due to the health crisis. “During this time, as I continued to work each day, I benefited more intensely from my family and also took the opportunity to develop simple and accessible recipes. I, who have always wanted to democratize pastry, have wanted to do the same with everyday family cooking,” explains the chef.
The book, published in French by Éditions Hachette, discovers up to 50 sweet and savory dishes to be made with the family. Sweet tooth readers will not only be able to consult the step by step instructions of delicious cakes, tarts, and desserts (egg tart, puff pastry with red berries and rose water, Madeleine …), but also appetizers and entrees. In addition, it has a solidarity component. Since this is a book created during the pandemic, Michalak has decided to allocate 100% of the copyright and sales to the Fondation Hopitaux Paris – Hopitaux de France.
