The International Academy of Gastronomy recognizes five European pastry chefs

Ana RodríguezAlthough the International Academy of Gastronomy Awards were ruled last February, it has not been until now when the names of all the winners of the Prix Au Chef Pâtissier 2020 title have been revealed. This year, the award-winning pastry chefs have been Paco Torreblanca (Spain), Cédric Grolet (Hôtel Meurice, Paris), Pierluigi Portinari (Ristorante La Peca, Lonigo, Vicenza), João Henriques (Patisserie Eclair, Portugal), and Tomasz Deker (Poland).
The AIG, which encompasses culinary academies in 24 countries, annually awards a series of national awards such as the pastry chef award which recognizes various individuals and legal entities that have distinguished themselves in the field of gastronomy and food, and four Great International Prizes: the Art of Cuisine, Gastronomic Culture, Science and Food, and l’Art de la Salle.
