On September 10, Morocco was proclaimed the winner of the African Pastry Cup. The team, chaired by Kamal Rahal and made up of Abdelkader Ejjatioui and Ali Gousaid, seduced the jury with their creations and work techniques. In this way, the country, which was also the host of this competition, consolidates itself as a benchmark in pastry on the African continent. Mauritius, who was participating for the first time, and Tunisia came in second and third place respectively. Therefore, the three countries have a direct ticket to the Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie, which will take place in January 2023 at Sirha Lyon.
The next continental selection to be held is the Asian Pastry Cup, on October 25 and 26 in Singapore.
