Originally from South Korea, she immigrated to the United States at a young age. In 2012, she helped out in the dessert station of her mother’s restaurant and decided to learn more about the craft.

As her interest in pastry grew, she went on to work in fine dining kitchens and bakeries along the West Coast. She is currently the pastry chef at Benu restaurant, one of the few three-Michelin-starred restaurants in San Francisco.
