Okabo, blonde chocolate from Deremiens with numerous taste combinations
La Chocolaterie Deremiens, specialized in bean to bar and known for almost 20 years for its original creations (vanilla and Semois tobacco ganache, Orval beer caramel, hemp praline, among others), presents Okabo, a blonde chocolate with caramel and biscuit notes.
This launch, as François Deremiens explains, stems from the idea that “chocolate is a product with which you can do anything and I like to go further. So why not offer a chocolate made with a gourmet and authentic ingredient from here, our brown sugar? An unrefined sugar from sugar beets from our beloved Belgium. This great classic from the north (invented by the Belgian Karl Gräffe), with a beautiful golden blonde color, offers an inimitable and well-scented taste!”.
One of the keys to Okabo, marketed under the Mayata brand, is that it combines perfectly with very diverse flavors, from coffee to citrus and red fruits. “It will open the doors to new taste associations that will delight the greatest chefs from the best ateliers in our country and abroad,” he adds.
